
Brazilidade: all things Brazilian is a cultural festival organized by Brent Libraries Arts & Heritage. The festival will happen from 07 of June until 22 of June in Willesden Green Library Complex, and it will involve an arts market, talks and workshops about all things Brazilian. The opening will happen on Saturday the 07 of June in Willesden Green Library complex.
In the library space will be happen a sequence of seminars to celebrate Brazilian culture. At the present moment we have confirmed the following speakers:
Kirion O'Connell - Local Architecture from Kingsbury Seminar details: Kiron is fascinated about Brazil and his fascination led him to study one of the greatest architecture of all times: Oscar Niemeyer. Kiron will talk about Niemeyer contributions to modern architecture. Come along and learn more about modern archicteture.
Luciana Hindley - MAAT, BAHA, Accountant and Business Advice for 12 years Ms. Hindley is the Manager Director of ASC Accountancy and will be hosting a free day advice on self-employment, Tax Rebate, income tax, and food business start-up. She will be also running some prize draw for Sage Software and a self-assessment tax return.

Rinaldo Remoli - Italian Genealogist Rinaldo Remoli will tell us about the Italian immigration that led many Italians to go to place like Brazil. Also, he will talk about the impact of immigration in the life of Italians and Brazilians. Don’t miss the chance to learn how Italians descendants can trace back their ancestors.
Sonia Kuroda - Japanese Interpreter & Marcia Urano – Garden designerSonia Kuroda will lead us into the history of immigration from Japan to Brazil. Sonia also will tell us how Japanese immigration has shaped the face of Brazil. Marcia Urano will take us into this Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) workshop using exotic plants and flowers to create an original European-Tropical flower arrangement.

Also, as part of Brazilidade, an arts market will happen from the 7th until the 22nd of June. Of Brazilian plastic artist, Isabel Costa, through the Brazilian Embassy. The Brazilian Embassy commissioned the artist to produce some exclusive panels from recyclable Brazilian materials for Lula's first visit to London.
These pieces are going to be part of the stock to compose Brazilidade Art Market. Also as part of Brazilidade Art Market will be a photographic exhibition composed by Brazilian street kids that are part of a charity project called Anti-Crime. Still we are going to receive art work from Brazilian artists based in London. Part of the money made from the sale of Isabel's and Anti-Crime works are going to be donated to charities.
